TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between You (“You”, “Your”) and Opinodo ApS (“GasAnswer”, “We”, “Us”, “Our”), the operator of the GasAnswer website accessible at https://gasanswer.com/ and any associated mobile applications (collectively, the “Website”).

By registering an account, accessing, or using the Website in any way, You confirm that You have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Our Privacy Policy. If You do not agree, You must not use the Website.

These Terms apply exclusively to GasAnswer. Other websites operated by Our group are governed by their own separate terms.

PLEASE NOTE: In an effort to make GasAnswer’s Terms easier to understand, GasAnswer has translated these Terms and all associated legal documentation from English to various other languages using machine translation. As a result, You acknowledge and understand that any translated Terms (including other GasAnswer legal documents) may contain errors and inaccurate terminology. As such, GasAnswer shall not be liable or responsible for any errors or inaccurate terminology contained in the translated Terms and/or other GasAnswer legal documents.

1. ELIGIBILITY AND REGISTRATION

1.1 Eligibility

To register and use the Website You must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in Your jurisdiction if higher;
  • Be a natural person acting in a personal, non-commercial capacity;
  • Not be located in a country subject to applicable trade sanctions or export restrictions;
  • Not have been previously suspended or banned from any website operated by Us.

If You are between 13 and 17 years of age (or above the minimum legal age for consent to online services in Your jurisdiction, if lower than 18), You may only register and use the Website with the active involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. By registering an account on behalf of or together with a minor, the parent or legal guardian agrees to be bound by these Terms and accepts full responsibility for the minor’s use of the Website. If We discover that a minor has registered without parental consent, We will terminate that account immediately.

If You are below the age of 13, or below the minimum legal age for consent to online services in Your jurisdiction, You may not register or use the Website under any circumstances.

1.2 One Account Per Person

You may hold only one account. Registering multiple accounts, including multiple accounts within the same household, is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination of all associated accounts and permanent cancellation of all accumulated Balance.

1.3 Accurate Information

You must provide truthful, accurate, and complete information at registration and keep it up to date at all times. Providing false or misleading information — including during Surveys, profile completion, or identity verification — constitutes a material breach of these Terms and may result in account suspension, Balance cancellation, and legal action.

1.4 Account Security

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of Your login credentials and for all activity conducted under Your account. You must notify Us immediately at support@gasanswer.com upon becoming aware of any unauthorized access. We will not be liable for any loss arising from unauthorized use of Your account.

1.5 Single Sign-On

We may offer registration via third-party single sign-on providers (including Facebook and Google). If You do that, You automatically create an account associated with Your Facebook or Google profile and You understand that We will incorporate relevant personal information found on Your Facebook or Google profile as part of Your account. Your use of such services is also governed by the relevant third party’s terms. We are not responsible for issues arising from third-party sign-on providers.

2. THE WEBSITE AND SURVEYS

2.1 Nature of the Website

GasAnswer is an online survey and market research website that connects You with third-party research partners (“Third Party Providers”). By completing tasks such as surveys, polls, product evaluations, and similar activities (“Surveys”), You may earn credits as described in Section 3.

2.2 No Guaranteed Access to Surveys

We do not guarantee the availability of any Surveys. The number, type, frequency, and eligibility criteria for Surveys are determined at Our sole discretion and may change at any time without notice. You have no entitlement to receive any particular Survey or volume of Surveys.

2.3 Honest Participation

You must complete all Surveys honestly, carefully, and in good faith. This includes:

  • Providing truthful, considered responses — not random, rushed, or automated answers;
  • Completing Surveys personally — delegation or automation is prohibited;
  • Not falsifying screenshots, fabricating task completion evidence, or misrepresenting eligibility;
  • Not sharing, publishing, or reproducing Survey content, including survey questions, answer options, Third Party Provider names, or survey URLs.

2.4 Third Party Provider Terms

Certain Surveys may be subject to additional terms imposed by Our Third Party Providers. Where such terms conflict with these Terms, the Third Party Provider’s terms shall take precedence in relation to that specific Survey.

2.5 Support Services

GasAnswer shall provide You with support services via email from Monday to Friday, in order to address any queries and concerns You may have pertaining to the Services as well as any payment/account issue. We shall endeavour to resolve any queries and concerns You may have within seven (7) business days from the date You first logged the issue with Us. Contact Us at support@gasanswer.com.

3. YOUR ACCOUNT BALANCE

3.1 Nature of Your Balance — Not Real Money

Your account displays a balance that may be denominated in points, virtual credits, or a monetary unit (collectively, “Balance”). Regardless of how Your Balance is displayed, it does not constitute real money, currency, a financial instrument, a deposit, or any form of property right at any time prior to a successful payout. Your Balance is a record held in Our systems solely for the purpose of determining Your eligibility to request a payout. It carries no monetary value, creates no debt or obligation on Our part, and confers no right of ownership.

3.2 Bonuses and Promotional Credits

Any credits added to Your Balance as a result of completing milestones (such as completing a set number of Surveys), welcome bonuses, referral bonuses, promotional offers, or any other incentive scheme are subject to the same terms as all other Balance credits. Such bonuses are not money and carry no monetary value until — and only if — they are included in a payout that has been requested, approved, and successfully processed in accordance with Section 4. We reserve the right to amend, withdraw, or cancel any bonus or promotional credit at any time without notice. Welcome bonuses and other marketing bonuses or rewards will not be paid if We have any reason to believe that an illegal method has been used, such as acquiring more than one bonus/reward per household/IP, or use of robots to create accounts and generate income.

3.3 When Balance Becomes Real Money

Your Balance, or any portion of it, becomes real money only at the moment a payout is requested, approved, and successfully disbursed to Your nominated payout method. Prior to that point, Your Balance remains a non-monetary record with no cash value, regardless of how it is displayed on the Website.

3.4 Balance Adjustments — Our Right to Adjust Without Explanation

We reserve the right to adjust, reduce, freeze, or cancel Your Balance at any time, at Our sole discretion and without being required to provide any explanation, reason, or prior notice.

Circumstances in which We may make such adjustments include, but are not limited to:

  • A Third Party Provider declining, reversing, or withholding payment for a Survey You completed (for example due to quality issues, reconciliation, or fraud screening by the Third Party Provider);
  • A system error, technical fault, or configuration issue that resulted in Your Balance being credited with an amount greater than intended;
  • A chargeback, reversal, or fraudulent transaction affecting advertiser or Third Party Provider payments;
  • Suspected or confirmed breach of these Terms, including dishonest Survey completion or prohibited conduct;
  • Any other circumstance in which We reasonably determine that a Balance credit was made in error or should not have been made.

While We will often choose to communicate the reason for an adjustment, We are under no obligation to do so. You agree that We shall have no liability to You in connection with any Balance adjustment made in accordance with this clause.

3.5 Reconciliation Deductions

Our Third Party Providers periodically review completed Surveys and may reject or reverse a completion after the fact — a process known as reconciliation. This can occur for reasons including, but not limited to, quality screening, fraud detection, duplicate responses, or client-side audit. When a Third Party Provider notifies Us of a reconciliation rejection, We reserve the right to deduct the corresponding amount from Your Balance, regardless of when the original Survey was completed, provided the rejection is notified to Us within 30 days of the original completion date.

If a reconciliation deduction results in Your Balance falling below zero, Your account will carry a negative balance. We will not seek repayment of the shortfall from You directly. Instead, future earnings will first offset the negative balance before any positive Balance accumulates. For example, if Your balance is −$1.00 and You complete a Survey earning $2.00, Your resulting balance will be $1.00.

Reconciliation deductions may apply even where You have already received a payout in respect of the relevant earnings. In such cases, the deduction will be applied to Your current Balance, which may result in a negative balance as described above. We are under no obligation to notify You of individual reconciliation deductions, though We may choose to do so.

3.6 No Liability for Balance

We shall not be liable for any loss, inconvenience, or damage arising from a reduction, cancellation, freezing, or negative adjustment of Your Balance, including where such adjustment is made without explanation. You acknowledge that Your Balance does not represent an asset, entitlement, or financial interest that could give rise to a claim against Us.

4. PAYOUT

4.1 Payout Threshold

You may only request a payout once Your Balance meets or exceeds the applicable payout threshold (“Payout Threshold”). The current Payout Threshold is displayed on the payout page and varies from country to country. We may change the Payout Threshold at any time, without prior notice, at Our sole discretion. Your continued use of the Website following any such change constitutes acceptance of the updated threshold. A Balance that met a previous threshold does not automatically qualify for payout under a revised threshold.

4.2 Payout Request and Approval

Submitting a payout request does not guarantee that a payout will be processed. All payout requests are subject to:

  • Your Balance meeting or exceeding the then-current Payout Threshold at the time of the request;
  • Successful completion of any identity or fraud verification procedure We require (see Section 4.4);
  • Your account being in good standing — not suspended, under investigation, or terminated;
  • Availability of Your selected payout method at the time of the request;
  • Our review and approval of the request in Our sole discretion.

Upon receipt of a valid payout request, and provided that all conditions under these Terms have been satisfied, GasAnswer will make payment to You within ten (10) business days.

4.3 Changes to Payout Options and Reward Values

We may at any time, without notice and without liability:

  • Change, replace, withdraw, or discontinue any payout method or reward option;
  • Change the Balance amount required to redeem any specific reward;
  • Change the rate at which Balance is earned for any Survey.

4.4 Identity Verification

We may require identity verification before processing any payout. This may include submission of government-issued identification, facial verification, proof of address, or other documentation. We may use third-party verification providers for this purpose. We reserve the right to withhold any payout pending satisfactory verification and to refuse payout where verification cannot be completed.

4.5 Supported Payout Methods

We currently support PayPal and Airtm as payout methods. The availability of specific payout methods may vary by country and is subject to change at any time without notice. If You are unable to create or maintain an account with any of Our supported payout providers — for any reason, including eligibility restrictions imposed by those providers — We are under no obligation to provide an alternative payment method. Any Balance in Your account will remain unredeemable until a supported payout method becomes available to You. We accept no liability for Your inability to access a supported payout provider.

4.6 Taxes

Unless stated otherwise on the Website or under these Terms, all compensation due to You by GasAnswer for Your use of and access to the Website and Services shall be exclusive of any taxes, levies, duties, or similar governmental assessments of any nature, whether disputed or not, including any value-added, sales, use or withholding taxes, assessable by any jurisdiction (“Taxes”). You shall be responsible for the payment of any and all Taxes (except for those based on GasAnswer’s income) associated with the compensation You receive whilst using the Services on the Website. You hereby indemnify and hold GasAnswer harmless from the payment of any Taxes and costs associated with the collection or withholding thereof, including penalties and interest.

4.7 Payout on Account Closure

If Your account is closed — whether by You or by Us — any Balance that has not yet been paid out is permanently cancelled with no entitlement to compensation, regardless of the reason for closure and regardless of whether Your Balance met the Payout Threshold at the time of closure.

5. PROHIBITED CONDUCT

You must not, directly or indirectly:

  • Register or operate more than one account;
  • Use VPNs, proxies, TOR networks, or any other tools to mask or misrepresent Your location or identity;
  • Use bots, scripts, automation software, emulators, or any non-human means to interact with the Website or complete Surveys;
  • Attempt to manipulate, reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the Website or its systems;
  • Engage in any form of click fraud, survey fraud, referral fraud, or payout fraud;
  • Register using false names, addresses, or fabricated information;
  • Attempt to earn credits through means other than legitimate Survey completion;
  • Share, sell, or allow third-party access to Your account;
  • Upload, share, or transmit any malicious code, viruses, or harmful content;
  • Harass, threaten, or harm other users or Our staff;
  • Upload or distribute indecent, pornographic, hateful, or offensive content;
  • Post unwanted links or SPAM links in Our name or send people to Our Website in that way;
  • Try to obtain passwords or other personal information from other users;
  • Use it for business and commercial purposes;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website or Our servers;
  • Impersonate or attempt to impersonate another user or entity;
  • Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right in connection with Your use of the Website.

6. ACCOUNT SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION

6.1 Termination by You

You may close Your account at any time by following the instructions in Your account settings or by contacting Us at support@gasanswer.com. Upon closure, all Balance is immediately and permanently cancelled with no compensation.

6.2 Termination or Suspension by Us

We may suspend or permanently terminate Your account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Breach of any provision of these Terms;
  • Suspected or confirmed fraud, abuse, or deceptive conduct;
  • Failure to complete identity verification when required;
  • Legal, regulatory, or compliance requirements;
  • Any other reason We deem sufficient in Our sole discretion.

6.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination of Your account for any reason:

  • All Balance is immediately cancelled with no entitlement to compensation or payout;
  • Your right to access and use the Website ceases immediately;
  • We may retain Your data in accordance with Our Privacy Policy and applicable law;
  • Termination does not affect any accrued rights or obligations of either party.

6.4 Inactivity

An account is considered inactive if You have not logged in or participated in any Survey for a period of six (6) consecutive months. If Your account becomes inactive, We will follow the procedure below before deleting it:

  • At five (5) months of inactivity: We will send You a written notice informing You that Your account will be deleted if it remains inactive for six (6) months. To prevent deletion, You must log in to Your account and complete a Survey.
  • Fourteen (14) calendar days before deletion: We will send You a written notice that Your account will be deleted if it continues to remain inactive.
  • One (1) calendar day before deletion: We will send You a final written notice that Your account will be deleted the following day as a result of continued inactivity.

If Your account remains inactive throughout this process and is subsequently deleted, Your account, all associated data, and Your entire Balance will be permanently forfeited with no entitlement to compensation or payout. You acknowledge and agree that We shall have no liability in connection with the deletion of an inactive account following this procedure.

All notices under this clause will be sent to the email address associated with Your account. You are responsible for keeping Your email address current and for monitoring communications from Us.

7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

7.1 Our Content

All content on the Website — including text, graphics, logos, software, survey content, and other materials — is owned by or licensed to Opinodo ApS and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any Website content without Our prior written consent. You must not republish, sell, or rent any of the materials that appear on Our Website.

7.2 Licence to Use

We grant You a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Website solely for Your personal, non-commercial participation in Surveys. This licence terminates immediately upon termination of Your account or breach of these Terms.

7.3 Your Content

You are legally responsible for any materials You generate and submit to this Website. This includes but is not limited to comments, questions, notes, media, or any other information that You publish on Our Website or send to Us via email. By submitting responses, evaluations, or any other content through the Website, You grant Us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, process, store, reproduce, and share that content for the purposes of operating the Website and fulfilling Our obligations to Third Party Providers. This licence survives termination of Your account.

You must not use Our Website to post negative or disparaging comments and material; post any illegal, harassing, abusive, offensive, discriminatory, or pornographic content or encourage other people to do so; post any false, deceptive, or misleading material; or send or procure any advertising or promotional material.

We are not responsible or liable for any user-generated content. You are solely responsible for any content You post to this Website and submit to Us. We have the right to edit and remove any content that appears on Our Website, for any reason.

8. CONFIDENTIALITY OF SURVEY CONTENT

Survey content made available to You through the Website — including but not limited to survey questions, answer options, product information, brand names, research methodologies, and any other materials provided in connection with a Survey — may constitute confidential or proprietary information belonging to Our Third Party Providers or their clients.

By participating in any Survey, You agree to:

  • Keep all survey content strictly confidential;
  • Not share, reproduce, publish, discuss, or disclose any survey content to any third party, in any format or through any medium, including social media, online forums, or messaging applications;
  • Use survey content solely for the purpose of completing the relevant Survey;
  • Notify Us immediately at support@gasanswer.com if You become aware of any unauthorised disclosure or use of survey content.

This confidentiality obligation applies during and after Your participation in any Survey, and survives termination of Your account. Breach of this clause constitutes a material breach of these Terms and may result in immediate account termination, cancellation of Your Balance, and legal action.

9. DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

9.1 Website Provided As-Is

The Website is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

9.2 No Liability for Third-Party Actions

We shall not be liable for any act or omission of any Third Party Provider supplying a portion/part of the Services under these Terms, nor for the content, accuracy, or availability of any Survey provided by a Third Party Provider.

9.3 Limitation of Liability

We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in these Terms, if We are found liable for any cause whatsoever, such liability shall at all times be limited to a maximum of one hundred United States dollars ($100.00).

9.4 Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold GasAnswer harmless from and against any liability, demand, damages, cost, or expense arising from any third party claim based on: Your violation of these Terms; Your use or misuse of the Website; and/or Your infringement of GasAnswer’s intellectual property rights. GasAnswer shall indemnify and hold You harmless from and against any liability or expense arising from a third party claim based on any gross negligence or intentional misconduct of GasAnswer.

9.5 Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond Our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, cyberattacks, third-party service failures, or changes in law.

10. PRIVACY, COOKIES AND EXTERNAL LINKS

10.1 Privacy

Your use of the Website is subject to Our Privacy Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Website You acknowledge that We collect, use, and share Your personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for ensuring that any personal information You provide is accurate and up to date.

10.2 Cookies

Our Website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies. By using the Website, You consent to Our use of cookies in accordance with Our Cookie Policy. You may adjust Your cookie preferences at any time through Your browser settings, though doing so may affect the functionality of the Website.

10.3 Links to Third-Party Websites

Our Website may contain links to third-party websites or services. These are provided for Your convenience only. We have no control over the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party website, and We accept no responsibility or liability for them. Clicking on any such link is entirely at Your own risk. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy and terms of any third-party website You visit.

11. COMMUNICATIONS

By registering an account You consent to receive communications from Us by email and, where applicable, SMS or push notification, for operational and marketing purposes. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in any such communication, or by contacting Our customer service at support@gasanswer.com. Opting out of marketing communications does not affect Our right to send operational or administrative messages.

All formal notices from Us to You will be sent to the email address associated with Your account. You are responsible for ensuring this address is current and functional.

12. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms at any time and without prior notice. Changes take effect immediately upon the updated Terms being posted on the Website, as indicated by the effective date at the top of this document. We are under no obligation to notify You of any changes, whether by email, notification, or otherwise. Your continued use of the Website following any update constitutes Your acceptance of the revised Terms. It is Your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. If You do not agree with any update, Your only remedy is to close Your account.

13. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

13.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Denmark. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms that are not resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Danish courts, with the Copenhagen City Court (Københavns Byret) as the court of first instance.

13.2 Informal Resolution

Before initiating any formal dispute, You agree to contact Us at support@gasanswer.com and attempt to resolve the matter informally. We will attempt to respond within 30 days.

14. GENERAL

14.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with Our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and any Survey-specific or Third Party Provider terms, constitute the entire agreement between You and Us regarding Your use of the Website and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

14.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable under any applicable law or be so held by any applicable court decision, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

14.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. Any delay or omission on the part of either party to exercise any right, power, or remedy under these Terms will not operate as a waiver unless it is in writing and signed by the waiving party.

14.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer any of Your rights or obligations under these Terms without Our prior written consent. We may assign Our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
